With NKT testing we can test a client's functional strength in his ability to rotate, and she was weak when trying to rotate her shoulders to the left. We found that her left neck muscle was trying to do the job for a weak shoulder muscle that does left rotation. So, in her bench press, she was losing stability on the left side and the left neck was activating to try and compensate. We released the neck, activated the shoulder muscle and her left rotation was now testing strong.
